My mom wants to buy a diamond (not real diamonds, but you know what I mean) collar for my little yorkie. I have two Yorkies, but I don't put collars on them because their hair gets tangled very easily. Yorkies are bad about getting knots in their hair especially if it isn't brushed everyday. So, if the dog will be brushed regularly I don't think it matters even if it is a boy. I don't like diamond collars on dogs. I think they're stupid. The dog doesn't care and if it gets turned around and the dog is pulling at their leash, it could get uncomfortable for the dog.

No way - I won't allow my dogs to wear collars full-stop. The only time is when they go for walkies. Remember they are dogs not human assessories.
