I live in California and Chuckecheese is refusing let minors into their place without an adult. Are they allowed to do that? I've heard rumors that they won't let minors inside because Chuckecheese serves alcohol but that's all bs because even restaurants can serve minors and serve adults alcohol at the same timeIs Chuckecheese allowed to refuse entrance for minors (12-17)?
unfoutantly , as stupid as it may sound . there are well within there rights , the reason for this is a safety factor , for the staff . with a adult they will not jumpup unexpectly when server walks by etc . even though a junkie , can go in alone , supposed responsable adults can go in . this is okay . it is not the liquor act , like you stated bs . it is a saftey concern . what bothers me . the children ,unsupervised are better behaved , than the unsupervised adults . thank you .Is Chuckecheese allowed to refuse entrance for minors (12-17)?
It's not stupid, it is logical and full of sense. Unsupervised minors can get wild and hurt themselves and others. It is not the function of Chuckecheese to supervise (babysit) children. They don't want to open themselves up for lawsuits if these kids hurt themselves or others. They also don't want these unsupervised youngsters to drive away paying customers and families.
yes they are, in order to enter you need someone who is related to you 18 and over.
it has nothing to do with the fact that they serve alcohol, its simply so they have some one to look after you b/c so many minors do stupid things.
sorry. Is Chuckecheese allowed to refuse entrance for minors (12-17)?
Yes. Our CC won't let anyone in under 18 without an adult. We also get wrist banded when we come in and checked when we go out to make sure we are only taking our own children out. It is for protection to prevent children from be abducted.
Yes, they have the right to refuse service to anyone. Also, the Chuck E. Cheese in my city will refuse service to people who don't have kids with them.Is Chuckecheese allowed to refuse entrance for minors (12-17)?
A business can refuse entry to anyone at anytime.
As a private establishment, they have every right to do that, yes.
