I need some ideas for a birthday party for my 1 yr old who will be 2 in August. I did the back yard party last year. And he doesn't like Chuck e Cheese hes scared of chucke. What are some good ideas? Thanks in advanceBirthday Party Ideas for a 2 year old (no back yard party or chuckecheese)?
I went on a Teddy Bear picnic in the local park for a friends two year old last year and it was lovely- all she asked us to bring rugs. She provided 2 types of sandwiches, crisps and drinks - some flasks with tea and coffee for the adults - we all bought our own sippy cup for the kids but there were a few paper beakers. The children put paper plates out for the teddies and helped them eat their picnic. She then hid a few bears in the trees around and they had a hunt. The bears played musical statues and pass the parcel - small stereo with batteries. We then rolled a ball between the bears in a circle - bear football and sang happy birthday. She also drew a bear on some paper and the children played pin the bow tie on the bear ( a bit like pin the tail on the donkey)
The day was cloudy but warm enough to be outside - It lasted 2 hours but we stayed longer
It was simple but really nice, captured the kids imaginations and hardly any tidying up!
Most importantly the kids had a GREAT time!
