Just take out the "up", you can sign in or sign on. "Sign up" is something you do once to become part of something. You either sign in or sign on to a website of which you are a member.



In and on are representative of something in space. Examples: "get in my car" "get on my motorcycle". Websites are virtual, you are usually on a website, example: "I'm on google".
