ChuckeCheese party or at the house?

We ALWAYS have my kids' b-day parties at the house, they end up the same.. beer.. beer.. and more beer. We spend so much money on these parties and they are soooo tiring, the preparing of food, the serving the guests, the cleaning and then my dad's ultimate "beer and tequila" thing which I"m so sick of! My little one has asked me to have her b-day party at chuckecheese (1 month), but my dad and her dad are being a bit pushy about a "house" party. I want a house party too for my baby but how do I go about making one with out him bringing beer, STRICTLY KIDS party, i do not want to be rude either. Just want my baby and HER guests to have fun on her day. Or would it be just easier for me to have her party at chuckecheese, plain and simple.ChuckeCheese party or at the house?
how old is the child? A one month old will not have fun at chucky cheese. If the child is old enough to enjoy chucky cheese, have a chuckee cheese party or have a kids party when your men are at work.ChuckeCheese party or at the house?
I say if you have the money for a Chuck E Cheese party have it there. That way you don't have to clean up. And if your dad and her dad want a house party let them stay home and have a house party. And if it is the beer they want (in alabama) some of them serve beer.
If you want it at your house, I would tell all your adult guests that there will be no bringing or drinking alcohol. Just be honest and let them know that since it is a kids party, you don't feel it's appropriate for the adults to be drinking alcohol. I tell people to do this all the time. Go to this website http://makutusisland.com/index.html. This is located in Arizona. The point of having you go to this website is to see what kind of places are out there. I now live in NC and have googled places like this where they charge 5.00 for each kid and nothing for the parents and the kids get to climb all over bouncers and balloon slides and climbers. It can normally be cheap to get the kids in, and cheap to order some food. Some places are like chuckie cheese to where you can call them and pay a little extra to have them host the party (where they do something special for the kid, give you a deal on pizzas and drinks, and include decorations, etc). If you can't find a place like that near you or would rather just chuckie cheese, I would do chuckie cheese because it's like you said, it's her day.

Good luck.ChuckeCheese party or at the house?
funny because im having my sons 2nd birthday in sept, and it the same issue..with the beer and alchohol thing..hey its a kids party not an adult party..do not buy any alchohol is not your responsability if you do not have beer or any alchoholic drink at the party, if they want beer make them buy it themselves..chuck e cheese is cool but let me tell you its expensive, food quality sucks and to many people and kids running around. I say have it at the park were no alchohol is permitted..if they care about your little girl they will show up no matter where you have it..tell your dad not to sneak any alchohol to the park because you all can get kicked out if someone from the park finds out people are drinking..after the park everyone can go home including the drunks and drink all they want..after all its your daughter birthday party, its her day not thiers. im thinking of having it at the park but my wife doesnt do parks, so im having it at my sis in laws..but again my bro in laws drink heavly like if its a new years party..good luck!
first of all if you can afford the chuck e cheese party then why not do what YOUR DAUGHTER THE BIRTHDAY GIRL WANTS? its her day not your dad's!

chuck e cheese would definitely be the easier option. less stress on you, no beer, and your daughter and her friends have a great time.

if you do the party at home then i would invite only the essential family members and make sure all of HER friends are there since once again this is HER DAY not your dad's day!

and to ensure there's not tons of drinking allow your daughter to have i'd say 3 of her closest friends spend the whole night and that way you can tell your dad he can't have his huge beer party there and the adult party should not be an issue.ChuckeCheese party or at the house?
I personally have a problem with adults always worrying about themselves and having alcohol when it's a "kids" party. I would lean towards Chuck e Cheeses and just have her friends come (and the parents of those children) not all your relatives looking for free beer. This way you don't have to clean up. Also, you can tell your party host that you are not paying for any alcohol (if that Chuck e Cheese does serve beer) and that anyone ordering beer must pay for themselves not be added to your tab. Smack your dad and her dad across the face for being so selfish and pathetic.
