Where can I have a party for my 5 year old son?(PLEASE DON'T SAY CHUCKECHEESE!)?

We've been to ChuckeCheese 2 years in a row.I am looking for someplace different to go.His birthday's in July so any suggestions would help!Where can I have a party for my 5 year old son?(PLEASE DON'T SAY CHUCKECHEESE!)?
Try the YMCA that's where we had my daughters this year. They should have a kids pool or you can let the kids do basket ball or something.Where can I have a party for my 5 year old son?(PLEASE DON'T SAY CHUCKECHEESE!)?
Depends on where you live.

* Does your city have a zoo? The one here does bday parties, the kids even get to touch some animals!

* The park/playground. My sons bday is in July, and we did his 2nd bday last year at his favorite playground. We just had fruit, pretzels, juice boxes and water bottles set up at one of the picnic tables, and had cookies instead of cake.

* Bowling alley, kids love to bowl and they usually have pizza and stuff like that at most alleys.

* Your house, since it's in July you could have it outside, if you have a yard. We don't have a big yard, so in years past we've used a relatives place with a bigger yard and shade. When it's outside, cleanup is much easier =) You could also then do games that involve balls, water balloons, etc.
DEFINETLY NOT CHUCKIE CHEESE it's crazy un organized and very wild and loud, i had my sons 4th and my daughters 1st (at the same time there) dont waste your money, mcdonalds is so so, but i htink your luckey with it being a summer time birthday have it at your house or in your backyard ( through a pool party, or buy water ballons and squirt guns from the dollar store)

Bowling is a good idea, roller skating rinks are good too. not sure where you live so cant give you exact ideas, but ask your son what he would like to do within reason.Where can I have a party for my 5 year old son?(PLEASE DON'T SAY CHUCKECHEESE!)?
why not have a bar-b-q at a park with a playground? there's entertainment (the equipment), fresh air, and doesn't everyone love the smell of hot dogs and hamburgers on a grill? you might want to keep the cake in a cooler, though, as the heat can melt the icing (had that happen one year!) many public parks also offer reservations for the pavilions there.

good luck!
Where do you live though? I live in VA and we have places call jumping jacks (blowup things for them to play in) those are pretty cool. I agree I dont like Chuck E Cheese like that either :) Oh and theres a place we did this year called pots n paints. You can do bday parties there and all the kids can paint a ceramic thing and then the birthday boy has a special thing to paint. Depending on his maturity level...my (2) 6 year olds love laser quest. Its a little bit of a bigger maybe next year thing but its a thought.

Hope this helpsWhere can I have a party for my 5 year old son?(PLEASE DON'T SAY CHUCKECHEESE!)?
Well, I work at "Wacky Bear" which is very similar to "Build-A-Bear" and we have a party room and kids love it! They invite their friends and each of them gets to stuff and love a bear. Maybe if you have something like that in your area you could look into it.

Good luck!
