What about having both of your birthstones put into a ring. A common trend in India is called the "circle of love" ring, which is basically a ring with both of your birthstones/lucky gems beside one another. If and when you have children, you can add their birthstones to your ring aswell.
My experiance in diamonds is that they are very generic. It's VERY HARD to find a married couple (in the east or west) without a diamond ring. With an alternative ring, you'll be able to stand out in a crowd and will have a new story to tell your friends/family.

Here's why I love my moissanite: It's got twice the fire of a diamond, same durability and hardness of a diamond. It'll test positive for a diamond using a carbon tester, often found in jewelry stores. I used to work for Kay Jewelers many years ago. It seems to stay cleaner and sparkle more than a cz does too.
The cons: the larger the stone (over 1 carat)- it does tend to have a bit of a greyish/greenish cast in sunlight but that's literally the only thing I can think of that might be a con.
I get so many compliments on my ring, it's ridiculous. It looks like the rings you see in many bridal magazines.
You might also consider going with a pink, yellow, or blue sapphire. They also have a high hardness factor, and women in Italy often wear sapphire engagements rings. Sapphires are symbolic for fidelity/faithfulness.
Personally, I don't like diamonds and I didn't even before the whole blood controversy. I have a brilliant cut purple sapphire/ruby that's a little over 3/4 carat set in a classic Tiffany setting. I think it's beautiful and original. I don't recommend a tanzanite they can lose their color from exposure to the sun. I also don't recommend emeralds as they can be very fragile and shatter from everyday wear. You could go with your birthstone or just pick a stone that you feel is beautiful.

Diamons can infact be brital, which means they can shatter. When cutting large expensive diamond they may actually study it for years beforeband. A diamond will shatter if cut the wrong way.
With a large enough force behind it, we can assume a hammer will either be soft enough to basically allow the diamond to embed itself into the hammer (for example, the use of a wooden mallet) or hard enough that the diamond shatters (a diamond hammer will shatter a diamond). What do they use to cut diamonds...diamonds....true.

I saw a Chuck E. Cheese commercial today and I really want to go, it looks fun. I haven't been to Chuck E. Cheese since I was like 5 or 6 (my mom was too cheap to go) and I've been wanting to take my daughter but she's been too young.
She's 16 months now, I'm wondering if Chuck e Cheese has anything to appeal to young toddlers? Obviously I mean easy, physical kind of games rather than arcade style games.
From what I remember (very vague memories) they had some kind of playground/climbing thing/ball pit inside which might work for her. Also, do they serve regular food there? I think I remember there being pizza... there's food right?
How old was your child when the went? And basically tell me everything you know about Chuck E Cheese so I can decide whether its time to go, so I won't waste a trip if its not. Thanks so much!

Most of the games there are for younger kids now, not arcade style like when we were children. At 16 months, she might not quite get it, but from going with my younger siblings (now 18, 16 and 11), I'd say they have a good deal of games to entertain the 2-8 age range.
I took my daughter when she was about that age and she had fun. Surprisingly there were only a few families there so I let her roam with me a few steps behind her and let her choose what she wanted to do. There are not any ball pits anymore. There is a big play area and a few rides that she would be able to enjoy. There is pizza, pop, salad and a few other things. Its alot of fun, I would take her/Chuck E. Cheese!!!!!?

I took my son there last year, when he was 18 months old. There are activities for young kids, and he also liked the song and dance acts that were going on while we ate our pizza. He seemed to have a fun time, although it was a bit overwhelming with all the older kids running around.
However... I am not in a hurry to bring him back. A couple days after we were there, my little guy came down with a nasty virus that had him feeling miserable for a week. It made me question how clean places like Chuck E. Cheese and other indoor play areas really are. Tons of kids, putting their hands on everything. And I brought my toddler, who was still at a stage where he was putting his fingers (and everything else) in his mouth.
Personally, I would wait until a child is 3 or so to do CEC.
I understand your desire to do something fun but Chuck E. Cheese is nasty. Maybe your mom was not just too cheap - maybe she was too cheap to spend that much money on nasty frozen pizza.
I do hope you have a good time - at 16 months she will at least like the noise and lights if not the food.

Most of them do have some version of a ball pit and indoor playground structure that is safe for toddlers. She might even enjoy a couple of the interactive games you can play together. A 4year old little girl birthday party?
My little girl will be turning 4 next month and I need to start planning her birthday party. I would like to do a princess theme or something fun for the kids, but need some ideas. I would like to have it in Greenville, NC. Does anyone know anything fun in that area that we could do? I would like to do something like ChuckeCheese, but there is not one there. There is a book called "Crafts for Little Princesses" published by BackPack Books, New York. It has everything you need to throw a princess party and they make a lot of the favors and decorations out of things you have around the house.
Another thing you can do for a theme party is a garden party. I did one for my daughter when she turned 4 and the kids loved it. Each guest painted a 4 inch terracotta pot. While they dried we had cake (dirt cake of course) and played party games. When the pots had dried we planted real flowers that I had bought from a garden center in them. The kids got to take home the flowers. It was inexpensive and fun.
Whatever you decide, keep it simple and easy for you. (Happy parents means happy kids!)

It was TOO cute. We only invited very close friends of my daughters so they just had a blast playing together the rest of the time. We ordered Pizza and cake and it was very fun and very inexpensive.
As a photographer may I suggest:
Get a local photographer to take pictures. Be sure he understands you want the best ones in digital format, and that you want to make prints. It might be slightly more expensive since you are buying the rights to be pictures.
Then go to either MyPublisher or Blurb, download the (very simple) software and create a book. When you're done just click 'publish' and follow the prompts and it will be uploaded and printed for you.
Its a lot of fun and you'll have a book to keep for a lifetime for about $29.

Some step fathers are good and accepted by their spouses children others are not, they are resented by the step father or the children resent them.

When insult strikes, what do I do? My sister's sister-in-law came to borrow a DVD from my mom. She saw me and ask if I am working so I answered that I am not working. She laughs and said she is taking it easy and does not work either.
My toddler son wants to go play outside, but I could not play outside with him yet. After going to the beach twice, the mall, and a long day at ChuckeCheese in the previous 3 days, my son is still energetic but I feel tired.
My mom volunteer to bring my son for his bike-ride. My sister's sister-in-law blurted out loud in a looking-down tone "What a LAZY mom!" and she emphasized the word lazy. I feel flustered and wounded by her remark. I tried to hide my hurt feeling with a smile but I retreated back to a room. While I was walking, she repeat the statement with more zest "Whaaat a LAZY mom!!" just to be sure I heard it again.

Don't be a victim to her rudeness. If it offends you tell her so. She has no business talking to you like that in your mother's house and more importantly if your mother chooses to help you out with your son then it is a matter between mother and daughter and not for her to judge. Next time she says anything make sure you confront her about it. My toddler son wants to go play outside, but I could not play outside with him yet. After going to the beach twice, the mall, and a long day at ChuckeCheese in the previous 3 days, my son is still energetic but I feel tired.
My mom volunteer to bring my son for his bike-ride. My sister's sister-in-law blurted out loud in a looking-down tone "What a LAZY mom!" and she emphasized the word lazy. I feel flustered and wounded by her remark. I tried to hide my hurt feeling with a smile but I retreated back to a room. While I was walking, she repeat the statement with more zest "Whaaat a LAZY mom!!" just to be sure I heard it again.

Don't be a victim to her rudeness. If it offends you tell her so. She has no business talking to you like that in your mother's house and more importantly if your mother chooses to help you out with your son then it is a matter between mother and daughter and not for her to judge. Next time she says anything make sure you confront her about it. Tell her she can think what she likes because you don't care what she thinks but when she speaks she needs to keep the snide remarks to herself especially as she doesn't have children of her own.

So I've been noticing a trend that I didn't even know was fashionable. Moms wearing stiletto boots, and I'm not talking little short heels but damn that would hurt if she stepped on me heels. I was at chuckecheese and saw two women in different groups wearing them, and then I was at the zoo (really) and this one mom was wearing them at the playground they have there. I told my kids to stay away from her because I don't want my children getting puntured.
I understand all about staying fashionable, but knee high stilleto boots while chasing kids seems a little too trendy for me, and I love my stilletos and my children, but I feel that the two don't go together.Whats up with these moms?
I bet if you watched really closely, those moms in impractical shoes are the ones that don't actually chase their kids around. My bet is that they are the ones who sit on the bench talking to their friends and yell and threaten their children instead of chase them around and play with them. Well that is your personal opinion and honestly if these mom's can do the job of caring for their kids wearing stilletos than good form them. It's hard bein a mom you know and dressing nice or being able to fix your hair the way you want to each day gives your ego a little boost, and we all need to feel pretty once in awhile.
To each their own. Maybe it helps them feel more fashionable or prettier. Maybe they need something between tantrums and living rooms full of toys to feel like a woman still. Whatever the case may be it's their choice to dress how they want to dress.
I personally choose comfort over style most days but there are times I like to get dressed up and remember what it was like pre-baby and there are still some things I do for myself that I did before I had my son(painting my nails regularly, straightening my hair).
I can only assume you live in a more urban area. We don't have Chuck-E-Cheese or a zoo anywhere near here and most moms I see around are running around in sneakers and jeans on a good day. Most of the time it's activewear.

Just because your a mom doesn't mean you have to throw away your fashion likes. If they like those shoes and want to wear them, then they should.
I personally wouldn't wear them because I do not find them comfortable, but if they want to, then I have no issues with it. Actually, I never really pay much attention to the footwear of the mothers at the playground.

everybody thinks i'm younger than i really am. i'm 24, but everybody still sees me as being as young as a teenager. at chuckecheese the other day for my 2nd cousin's party, the guy at the front, let everyone else pass to go back home, but stopped me to check my age! and he misheard and thought i said 21 :P . but i want to be able to find guys my own age and have them be interested in me. i don't wanna look like a kid. more like a young lady. not business like, just older. i have a very playful personality. but i have no idea what to do. i'm open to makeup, but i've never really used it before, so i don't know what colors to get or how to pick the right shades. i know nothing about it. and i think maybe i'd like a different haircut and color. but my hair is really thin and fine, so a lot of hairstyles don't seem feasible :(If you were to give me a makeover (redo)?
Yes it worked! You are really pretty (awesome bone structure) and don't need makeup but as I said in the last post, if you want something fresh and not overbearing, try Bare Minerals. The three step process gives a finished look that doesn't wash you out or look like you are wearing much makeup. If your hair is the same length as in the picture, you can do some choppy layers and bangs...bangs can make a big difference in a hair style whether it's short or long, thin or thick.

I am having a major issue. My 5 yr old daughter has start peeing on herself she is potty trained.?
this started about 2 wks ago. For some reason she is now afraid of public restrooms and even her school bathrooms. never had this problem before even when i started potty training her. It actually was pretty easy. The only thing at that time that bother her was the sound of the automatic toilet flushing. But she still went with no problem.Now she acts hysterical when we are out or when i pick her up from after-school and want her to use the bathroom because I used public transportation to get around cuz don;'t have car right now. Now she just lies and says that she doesn't need to use it. then she holds it until no more. then she starts getting scared and starts crying cuz she can;t hold it and when i try to take to a bathroom (not at home) she fights me and screams and the just pees on herself. I really need help. SHe saids that she is afraid of the fire alarms in the bathroom. Her teacher said that she uses the bathroom in her kindergarten classroom But in after-school she is scraed to. She only says that it the fire alarms. but i find it strange that in her classroom it'[s ok it has a alarm in there to. she evens does that when i tried a public restroom. she doesn';t want to even go to ChuckECheese anymore cuz she doesn't want to her to use the bathroom if she needs to go. please help meI am having a major issue. It may take several weeks of finding out exactly what it is about the fire alarms that is frightening her. Once you find out, then you need to work with the teacher to make her less afraid, since obviously the problem is not at home.

Someone may have "violated her" for such an extreme change in bathroom behavior I would look deep into that, especially at that age. A few year back at a school my friend was employed at (aftercare program) there were to little boys who got caught "playing" with each other in a way that is NOT normal in the bathroom. Im not saying she has been molested, but for a 5 year old to pee herself at be afraid of certain bathrooms that throws up a HUGE red flag. She could just say its a fire alarm if she is being bullied by someone. I myself was terrified of the fire alarm in the school bathroom, but i never wet myself, even at the age of 5, i just ran and went as fast as i could! Monkey joes? vs chuck e cheese... for party ideas?
So this new place called Monkey Joe's opened up semi close to us, and if you dont know what it is, its a big place with tons of those inflatable bouncy things for kids 12 and under... so I am thinking maybe that would be more fun for 4 yr olds than chuck e cheese? I have never been to a Monkey Joe's but we do go to Chuck E Cheese occasionally. We really have a blast at Chuck E Cheese *BUT* we would never do it for a birthday party... ever. I would recommend a place like Pump It Up where your party is private and the price is fixed. I really like not having to worry about the kids as we are always in private rooms with just our friends. They let me bring in my own cake, drinks and party favors. It was less than the cost of renting a bouncy castle. I'd go with monkey joes. My sister had a birthday party for my nephew at Chuck E. Cheese once (I think it was his 6th or 7th can't remember) and it was crazy expensive. I think she said almost $300 for 8 or 9 kids. The kids had a GREAT time and it was a succes but it was just crazy expensive. Not really worth it.
She's been doing his last few birthdays at this local place in the mall called Krazy City. It's kinda like Chuck E. Cheese with arcade games all over the place but there's also glow-in-the-dark bowling and mini-golf. The food isn't too bad it's what you would see at a burger place. and it was about $150 for 11 kids. (included is pizza, card that acts the way tokens used to, free cotton candy for the birthday boy and popcorn for everyone)
So yeah, I'd say if you've got some other local alternative to Chuck E. Cheese go for that.google crome
