What's a good restaurant to take toddler out for dining in south bay?

I am not looking for anything like ChuckECheese nor Dave%26amp;Buster that's full of loud video games. Just looking for placing with interested setting that will wow a 2 year old. What's a good restaurant to take toddler out for dining in south bay?
Believe it or not, try a Sushi Boat place.

We started going to Sumo Japanese Restaurant in Downtown Los Altos when our oldest son was two (5 years ago). We've been taking our other son since he was 6 months old (now 2 1/2).

They like watching the boats go round. The food is immediate and quick. And they really like the whole experience.

We don't feed them raw fish. We start them with cucumber rolls, gyoza (pot stickers), rice, miso soup with extra tofu and no greens, tempura, edamame (soy beans), and unagi. Yes. A 1 year old will eat bbq eel! He's now 2 1/2 and always yells out UNAGI! when we go into the restaurant. The chef has teased him saying "No Unagi tonight" just to watch my poor little boy get a dejected look on his face.

My oldest asks for and eats tako (octopus) when it is fresh. He is very experimental. He still doesn't eat raw fish though.

The only downside is that our bill keeps getting larger, and larger, and larger. I fear what it will be like when they are teen agers.

Sumo has become a bit of a Los Altos family tradition with lots of families showing up to eat with children of all ages. What's a good restaurant to take toddler out for dining in south bay?
El Pollo Loco or In N' Out................
Whereever you go make sure it is somewhere that children are welcome. I have had evenings out ruined by someone bringing their whiny brat to a restaraunt that caters to adults. I don't pay for a babysitter to have to put up with someone else's child running wild. What's a good restaurant to take toddler out for dining in south bay?
I'd suggest Chili's.

Why? Now I'd never suggest Chili's as a place to go to eat normally. But with toddlers, it has some advantages:

1. Lots of action and movement, kids like that

2. They give crayons

3. They serve alcohol for mommy and daddy

4. It's loud, and no one will complain if your toddler screams from time to time

5. You can make a total mess and not feel badly about it.
Our 2 year old is great at:

TGI Friday's

Chili's

Applebee's

They all have a children's menu and crayons. There's a lot to look at in all 3 places. TGI and Applebees has balloons.

CHEVY'S is my top pick. They have all of the above, plus my little one loves to watch El Machino pop out fresh tortillas. I seldom order anything for him there. By the time he's done with the tortillas, he usually doesn't want anything more than some of my rice and beans. But if he is that hungry, the kid's meals come with a really cute kid's cone.

If you and he are up for an adventure, there's also dim sum at JOY LUCK PLACE at lunch/brunch time. (At the Ranch 99 shopping center at the corner of Wolfe and Homestead in Cupertino) They're good for dinner, too. But dim sum is fun for a toddler to watch. You watch carts roll by with little dishes of goodies and pick what you want. If you're a dim sum novice, you can start with egg tarts, shui mei (pork dumplings), ha gaw (shrimp dumplings). If you ask their staff they're great about making suggestions. If you don't find enough that suits your taste, you can always order steamed rice and something else familiar off the menu.

Their staff will also make adjustments to anything on the menu or even make stuff not on the menu if you ask. Our toddler has a severe egg allergy. They've made adjustments to all kinds of stuff for us on request. If you ask for their opinion, they're really good about figuring out what you like and making good suggestions. What's a good restaurant to take toddler out for dining in south bay?
T.G.I. Friday's, Red Robin, Hawgs (in Campbell not downtown San Jose, the owner loves kids), any Japanese place that has sushi boats
wherever you go please make sure its a place people go expecting to see toddlers. nothing is worse than a crying baby that's not yours when you're dining out.
