What is the average size of a diamond back terrapin?

My school is based on studying terrapins and i would like to know what their average size is. I know i could probably ask a teacher or something but they might bite my head off since I don't know.What is the average size of a diamond back terrapin?Males are normally about 5 inches in length, while the females are around 9 inches.
