Look at all the problems. War, health care, crime, poverty, obesity, environmental destruction, global warming, etc. It is up to my generation to fix these. Thankfully we have a president focused on these issues.Will average college students have to solve all the problems today's adults created?No, none of these problems were actually created by today's adults, they were created by yesterday's adults using theories that date back to their grandparent's time, bolstered by dumb and thoughtless "vision".

Each generation might intend to put an end to the problems that it has experienced at the hands of those who went before.

Each generation carries within it the seeds of an entirely different set of problems that have always come around before but never remembered.

We're not all doomed, it's just the way things are.

Every generation asks the same question. The problem is that thinking that you know how to fix problems and actually being able to fix them are two different things. People have been claiming that they know how to end wars for over a century; we still have wars because those people had no idea what they were talking about.



BTW. Average college students are lazy, unethical, disrespectful, and sleazy. Worse, they believe that the world owes them something. I graduated from college and was in graduate school just two years ago. I discovered that the people the most full of bullshit are college freshmen; they think they know everything, they refuse to consider an opposing opinion, and experience means nothing to them.



I hope that you stay idealistic, but you need some experience and common sense before you can ever attempt to be the savior of world.

1. WAR, get used to it sister because they have fought in the middle east since time began and will never be at peace. Our troops are almost all home from Iraq and we will be in Afghanistan for another decade or the Taliban will be exploding bombs here. A generation must be educated before we leave.



2. Health care in America before Obama fixed it was never the problem, it's the Economy and the jobs he has lost. When people do not work they can't afford health care insurance. Now that Obama got his way when the people return to work they not only got to pay for themselves but for lazy *** students and welfare people without income.



3. Poverty in America has increased to LBJ levels under Obama.



4. Crime is on the rise from the Bush clinton bush years due to economic conditions of your leader. People rob when the get desperate.



5. He makes it sound like no one but him and Al Gore ever gave a damn about the Environment. Google EPA and see what President brought it in. Reagan changed emission standards. The first bush banned CFCs from spay cans. We are not the polluters any longer it's China and India your fearless leader will not deal with.



6. As for fat people it's your Generation in need of losing the weight not mine. It's liberal demographics on food stamps with the dickey do problem...that's when your belly hangs farther than your dickey do...

Unfortunately, these problems have existed for as long as the human condition has.

What the next generation will ultimately be responsible for is finding solutions/ways around yesterday's problems.



Health care, crime -- relatively easy, if people would shut up and be realistic.

Obesity -- somewhat more difficult, but not impossible.

Environmental destruction, global warming -- not impossible, but close.

War, poverty -- we're still unable to solve these. Currently impossible.
