What are the current problems in England (or the UK in general)?

I have a project in school where we have to research some of the biggest problems affecting the UK at the moment. All types of problems ( social, economic, environmental, etc.)

thanksWhat are the current problems in England (or the UK in general)?here's a couple...

1.) falling university funding (12% reduction)

2.) campaign against arms trade

good luck! :)What are the current problems in England (or the UK in general)?
Main problem..the last adminstration (Nu Lie-bore government) spent all the money, cashed in our gold reserves, at the nadir of price, then borrowed millions more..the current administration has to find 117billion pounds a year..just to pay the interest on these loans..and thats just the beggining..

We have no effective "border control" consequently, the country is over-run with illegal immigrants, all taking advantage of our welfare state, free hospitals, and health care, social security paayments etc. the infrastructure cannot cope with the influx of all these people.

Due to the lack of funds, taxes have been raised, fuel is currently 拢1.30 a litre, the effect of this is that ALL comodities have increased in price, leading to inflation at 5%, and increasing, the recession has closed many shops in towns and cities, making some places look like ghost towns, building has ceased in most of the developments, funding has stopped for many services, unemployment is at a 17 year high..but at least we haven`t had earthquakes, tsunami and nuclear crisis !!!What are the current problems in England (or the UK in general)?I've lived for 60 years Guiri and never seen a true socialist government in Britain. Perhaps that is one of the problems. I'm not a in fact a socialist but Conservative and Labour governments certainly
don't work. Current problems in Britain:- Poor education unless you are fortunate enough to be able to afford a private school for your kids. and clever enough to get into a top university like Oxford or Cambridge. Incompetent corrupt politicians looking only towards their own monetary futures and or following crackpot political philosophies inflexibly. Health care that often falls to the levels of the 3rd World (the much vaunted NHS), and the private paid for by the user health system isn't much better.
A much too big influence on the hearts and minds of the majority by corporate capitalism and media,
leading to a dumbed down culture, focusing on materialism, cell phone addiction, car addiction.
Racism towards immigrants or those perceived to be immigrants, because of the colour of their skin
- they may have been here for generations. What are the current problems in England (or the UK in general)?
It's the economy. The last socialist government spent and spent and spend using loans from abroad to employ vast armies of government workers. There is no money left and the country is technically bankrupt. (i.e. It could not pay all its debts if required.)What are the current problems in England (or the UK in general)? One big problem = throwing crucial tax revenue at the royals to support their lavish lifestyles of living in palaces, having a myriad of servants, being pulled in gilded horse-drawn carriages, wearing gargantuan crown jewels, etc. What are the current problems in England (or the UK in general)?
Recession = Lack of jobs. Major Government cuts.

Immigration = Not all immigrants make a positive contribution to the economy.

War against terrorism = Expensive in lives. What are the current problems in England (or the UK in general)?
Political corruption and high unemployment
