how this problem affects you (or people) *

and explain how this problem could be solved. *Describe an environmental problem (in your hometown). *?I live in Rocklin California. The current environmental problem here is that the wildlife area of Clover Valley is going to be urbanized and cleared to provide for a new housing development..

This issue has been a problem for the last several years as the government has debating and weighing the economic vs. the environmental effects.

The causes of the problem are the people who desire to urbanize. And the growing population which is in need of homes.

This problem affects my hometown because alot of the wildlife that exists and the ecosystems will be completly destroyed. This disrupts our area and the species we have come to know and love. Also, it leads to deforestation. This in turn leads to increased flood as precipitation has no where else to run.

This problem could be solved simply by not urbainzing Clover Valley. We should develop it into a national reserve. Established homes provide enough shelter for those looking to move into the area.Describe an environmental problem (in your hometown). *?

problem: landslides

how long: ever since forests here have been diminished immensely.

cause: foreign and local illegal loggers, forest fires, lack of environment awareness for local people.

affects: a simple raon shower can cause a landslide. houses are buried, lives are lost. the most drastic time we got was when a typhoon past by. classes were suspended, so we were sent home from school. landslide swept over us. 10 of us died.Describe an environmental problem (in your hometown). *?Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas

Lack of water in reservoirs.

Began a couple of years ago, and now is a major crisis.

Lack of rainfall; drought.

Mandatory restrictions on water use; no watering lawns or washing cars. No outdoor burning. Voluntary measures to save on indoor use of water. It also ruined my husband's business -- pressure washing.

Solution: Conserve water as much as possible, any way we can. Hope that Mother Nature dumps a lot of rain on us soon. (The drought is expected to last at least until next spring.)
