Hello, what are some problems in your community?

Thank you for taking the time to read my question. First of all, I would like to thank you guys for taking the time to read my question. In the neighboorhood you live in, are there any 3 major problems that you wish would be fixed? If so, what are some top 3 solutions for those problems? I have to interview some people and then talk about it, in my Environmental Science Class. I would really appreciate you guys participating. :DHello, what are some problems in your community?1. Garbage dump smell

2. Gangs in school

3. Illegal drugs

Solutions:

1.Cover up the garbage dump. We have daily winds and it makes the whole city smell really bad. Its known as the city that smells around this area so the housing prices dont appreciate as much. The dump can be relocated to another site farther away and not down wind toward the city.

2. Start teaching kids as early as kindergarten about gangs and not be part of one, Make communicating with officials in school or city a positive and fun interaction so that kids know where to go if there are problems. Reinforce that its good to be your own person with your own ideas as early as preschool. Have a police task force that works with gangs to council them if they are busted so that they dont return to that lifestyle. Promote some positive things and clubs, or places that teens can join so that they wont feel the pull of gangs.

3. Some of the stuff from #2 can be used to keep kids from getting into drugs too. We have a DARE program and i thinkit does help but when kids get into middle school and high school, it is very infested with bad influences so the positive input must be done very early. Parents must keep in close communication with kids so that they feel loved, confident to make good choices and if there are problems, that they can come forward without judgement or fear.Hello, what are some problems in your community?
Addictions, low income, no resources .

Establish more that AA, but educational and recovery programs.....work with businesses and churches to start a food bank and maybe open a soup kitchen.

Start a media compaign on the lack of resources for the above.Hello, what are some problems in your community?1.methamphetamines

2.poor police force

3. corruptible mayor

I'm from Terre Haute, IndianaHello, what are some problems in your community?
Meth, illegal aliens draining all area charities and think its funny. They work jobs lie about it and get freebies.Ive seen it.They line up bigtime at the food bank.Obesity everybody and their dog and kids are fat. How to solve problems? With meth I think there should be no second chances.1st time you are caught tweeking you should lose your kids and never get them back.Trick the Aliens into going home?Tell them they are giving away free turkeys in south America. and lastly I think it should be illegal to feed your kids some of the stuff they eat.Pop should be banned and confiscated.everyone needs to walk at least a mile everyday .It would help.I dont think alot of people exercise Ever! They have such horrible habits .You see a big fat family and you look in the cart its all frosted flakes, spagghettios ,poptarts and cheetos plus cases of coke. You see kids with big huge bellys and really fat faces and they look sad. I feel sad for them .I know they are not going to get healthy if their parents dont wakeup.I beleive in eating and being full but not on sugar alone. I hope your project goes well Im in northwest Arkansas.Hello, what are some problems in your community?Drugs and Gangs in my neighborhood. If my neighbors would all stick together instead of being afraid of retaliation we could work with law enforcement and run them the h### out of here.Hello, what are some problems in your community?
#1) Gangs. This could be fixed by more 2 parent families being involved with their children. Most kids join a gang to be part of a family they don't have at home

#2) Drop out rate. Could be fixed by more kids being appreciative and seeing the benefit of their free education. They don't realize that they are just continuing the cycle of poverty by dropping out.

#3) Underfunded schools. Our "South Carolina Education Lottery" promises all this $$$ to the schools but our are the worst in the nation. The lottery provides college scholarships but what good is that if kids don't even graduate???
