I cant swim off the beaches in Lake Michigan. Lord knows I cannot eat the fish because of mercury poisoning. I choke from the smog. Frogs are dying. Everything downtown is dirty and nasty. Im freezing my tail off in Chicago, a little warming would be nice. But what would be most amazing is if I could take my kids to the beach this summer and not worry about ECOLI. Or maybe they will just keep the beaches closed all summer again.Why is pollution control, the real environmental problem, not talked about anymore, but global warming is?In a word: politics. Pollution control requires knowledge and strength of character to resolve. The last efforts at pollution control were the grants to companies to produce a hydrogen powered car and alternative fuels.
