What environmental problem that you feel is significant in your town or city. What are some causes? ?

One of the most unfortunate environmental problems in my area effects the Salmon and Steal head runs in our rivers. with more and more developement of flat river bottom land, the wetlands and marshes where the fish spawn have been effected, thus causing less and less fish to survive. This is to bad because I love fish.
