How do you use action replay codes on Pokemon Diamond?

I keep hearing about these awesome action replay codes that give you all kinds of good stuff on Pokemon Diamond. How do you use these?



Please don't say type in "______", I need to know how to even start off. Getting the codes is not an issue :3

DO NOT PLUG YOUR ACTION REPLAY INTO A COMPUTER UNLESS YOU HAVE THE CORD MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR THE AR IT MELTS THE BACK AND LOSES ALL CODES IT HAPPENED TO ME!!!! not shouting emphasis
