Is this a good team for pokemon diamond elite 4? How can I make this better?

And what moves should I teach them?

I restarted diamond a while ago because the pokemon I'd been training had too many of the same weaknesses, and I was getting tired of training complete replacements from the ground up.

I'm planning:

Empoleon

Luxray/Jolteon(which one?)

Garchomp

Roserade

Rapidash

Gengar/Kadabra/AlakazamIs this a good team for pokemon diamond elite 4? How can I make this better?Let's break this down in terms of the elite four

1st Elite (sorry i don't remember their names exactly)-pokemon- beautifly, dustox, drapion, heracross, vespiqueen. The drapion might be a bit of a hassle, but your garchomp should be able to cream it, as long as it knows something like earthquake.

2nd elite: ground/rock types here. pokemon are: golem, hippodown, whishcash, sudowoodo, quagsire. Roserade should be able to take care of those guys. Remember to be a bit cautious if you decide to use empoleon against her hippodown: it does know earthquake

3rd elite: most random pokemon ever since d/p have only like 4 fire. He has a rapidash, infernape, lopunny, drifblim, steelix. Water type should do well here. watch out for drifblim-kind of annoying and its aftermath is a real double whammy

4th elite: psychic types. Gengar would do pretty well, although you might want to consider posibly training up a dark type. I'm using a weavile and it seems to be going well. He has a mr mime, girafarig, alakazam, bronzong, medicham. The bronzong WILL be a pain to take down. its attack is pretty bad so dont worry about taking huge hits.

and finally, we get to Cynthia

1st- starts with spirtomb- has no weakness, isnt too strong. just kill it and move on. Her other guys are garchomp, milotic, lucario, roserade, gastrodon. The garchomp is at lv 68, so be wary. it has a lot of powerful moves as well (dragon rush, a fighting equivalent of hyper beam). milotic- i suggest you leech seed that thing. it does know ice beam so be careful. Gastrodon should be easy, lucario can be killed by garchomp ( as long as it has something like earthquake). Roserade will easily be killed by rapidash. The only thing to really worry about is the garchomp. If you can go your dragon against hers and win then beating the elite four should be easy.

Best of luckIs this a good team for pokemon diamond elite 4? How can I make this better?Your team looks very well-balanced, well done!

I'd say go with Jolteon, since Thunderbolt is a higher-powered attack than Spark, and Jolteon's special attack/speed is high enough to be useful, not to mention it has a decent movepool.

The rest of the team looks good. I'd say go with Gengar, since it can be taught Shadow Ball, Pain Split (useful for HP recovery), Dark Pulse(?), Focus Blast or Psychic and that'll help you cover those fields (Alakazam cannot learn Shadow Ball).

Aaron with his Bug types (Dustox, Heracross, Vespiquen, Beautifly, Drapion) should be a piece of cake. Dustox and Beautifly you should know how to handle, watch out for Vespiquen's Pressure ability (doubles PP usage), use a good strong Flying move on Heracross, and something like Earthquake on Drapion. Watch out for Ice Fang though.

Bertha with her Ground types (Whiscash, Hippowdon, Sudowoodo, Golem, Quagsire) is pretty easy, but do remember Sudowoodo is a pure Rock type and can learn moves like Sucker Punch and Wood Hammer. Also, her Golem may be the exploding kind.

Flint may be more of a problem. He has only two pure fire types (Rapidash and Infernape), and his others are Lopunny, Steelix, and Drifblim. Lopunny dies to a Fighting attack, Steelix to a Surf, and Drifblim to Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, or Shadow Ball.

Lucian is the staller of the four, with Mr. Mime, Girafarig (don't use a ghost move on it, it is part normal), Medicham, Alakazam, and Bronzong. Ghost and Dark should do the trick.

Cynthia will come at you with Spiritomb, Garchomp, Gastrodon, Milotic, Roserade, and Lucario. Kill Spiritomb with Dark attacks, it will pretty much laugh anything else off. Beware of Pressure. Garchomp dies to Ice, Gastrodon to Grass (it is bulky as anything so don't use anything other than a super effective hit), Milotic to Electric or Grass (do NOT status it), Roserade to Ice, Flying or Fire, and Lucario to Ground, Psychic, or Fire.

Hope that helps you. Bring lots of healing items and be at least Lv 55. Good luck!Is this a good team for pokemon diamond elite 4? How can I make this better?I like the team you have. Very balanced.

I'd personally think that you should go with Luxray. Typically, I'd go with Jolteon, but Luxray's Crunch would prove invaluable to your team. Make sure it knows Thunderbolt (Thunderbolt%26gt;Thunder Fang) Also, it's a personal preference of Gengar or Alakazam. I think that both are useful, but if I had to pick, I'd go for Gengar. Hope this helps.
